Multisite phosphorylation is an important process in cellular information processing. It is known that mathematical models derived from this process can exhibit all sorts of complex dynamical behaviour (bistability, limit cycles, . . . ), where, in the context of information processing, bistability is arguably of greatest importance. In the frame of this project the bistability of multisite phosphorylation is modeled, examined, and experimentaly verified.
