Als Reaktion auf die aktuelle Ebola-Epidemie in Westafrika hat die ,,Innovative Medicines Initiative 2" (IMI2) ihren 2. Call mit Fokus auf die Ebolaforschung auf ihrer Homepage veröffentlicht. Der Call ist mit einem Budget von 280 Mio. EUR ausgestattet und bildet den Auftakt für das neue IMI Programm Ebola+ zu Ebola und verwandten Erkrankungen.

Der Aufruf umfasst fünf Themen (Topics):
o Topic 1: Vaccine development Phase I, II, and II
o Topic 2: Manufacturing capability
o Topic 3: Stability of vaccines during transport and storage
o Topic 4: Deployment and compliance of vaccination regimens
o Topic 5: Rapid diagnostic tests
