The DFG Priority Program PP 1608 "Ultrafast and temporally precise information processing: Normal and dysfunctional hearing"
consists of 20 groups with various backgrounds and experties (e.g., animal physiology, hair cell physiology, neurobiology, cellular neurobiology, processing and computational neuroscience, neurophysiology) all over Germany. All members of PP 1608 research on one goal: A better understanding of the physiology of ultrafast signaling and temporally precise information processing in order to develop effective treatment strategies for hearing disorders.
