Recent developments in technologies have paved the way for the next industrial revolution (also known as Industry 4.0). This industrial revolution is going to change our eco-system with an impact in all sectors. Different aspects have to be investigated in context of Industry 4.0 like business models (and business patterns), business process management practices and impact on IT.  In this project, a framework will be proposed and applied to generate new business models at Fujitsu. In this work, the impact of Industry 4.0 on business process management (for new practices) and IT (requirements & implications) will also be investigated. This includes the investigation on requirements for next generation systems and services (such as seamless integration, security, autonomy and intelligence), their application and further evaluation in industrial context.
