Shift2Rail Joint Undertaking (S2R JU), Call 2016

SHIFT2RAIL will be the first European rail initiative to seek focused research and innovation (R&I) and market-driven solutions by accelerating the integration of new and advanced technologies into innovative rail product solutions. SHIFT2RAIL will promote the competitiveness of the European Rail Industry and will meet the changing EU transport needs.
The Shift2Rail Joint Undertaking launched the first calls for proposals for
S2R JU members (CFM) and
non-JU members (OC),
aimed at driving innovation in railways under Horizon 2020.
Indicative budget: ¤90 million EU funding
Estimated projects value, including in kind contributions by the members, other than the Union and/or their affiliated entities: ¤170 million

A Shift2Rail Information Day for non-JU members (open calls) will be organised by S2R JU on 20 January 2016 in Brussels at Charlemagne Building, European Commission, Rue de la Loi 170, 1000 Brussels.
