The SAFERA ERA-NET on industrial safety has launched its second joint call for transnational, collaborative research projects concerning Innovating in safety and safe innovations. The call aims to foster collaboration between researchers from different countries in Europe and from different scientific disciplines, in order to improve safety and the management of technological risks. The call topics are:
o Managing emerging risks
o New technologies for safety

Funding countries participating in this call are the Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Serbia and Spain (Basque country).
o Deadline for submissions of pre-proposals 10 July 2014
o Information sent to applicants on results of the first stage. Requests for full proposals are sent to selected applicants, and collaborations proposed to single-nation applicants. 15 September 2014
o Deadline for submission of full proposals 30 October 2014
o National funding decisions transmitted to applicants February to March 2015
o Projects start February to April 2015
o Project duration 2015 to 2017
