The working group was the first to develop stochastic microscale models for spray fluidized bed agglomeration. However, such models are either coarse in respect to agglomerate morphology or computationally very expensive (ballistic algorithms). This project explores new possibilities for tracking morphology at low computational cost during the process. Agglomeration is decisive for the instant properties of food and pharmaceutical products.
