The projects supports a MINT student from Werner-von-Siemens-Gymnasium (Magdeburg). In 2016, Robert Göpfert studied photomanipulation of anchoring energy in an LC device with a photoswitchable surfactant. The aim of this project is to characterise the dependence of the anchoring energy of a liquid crystal exposed to a UV radiation.
